Chala Jaunga is so beautifully written, and it is so heartwarming and wrecking simultaneously, that I was moved when I first came across it. I realised I had to share it with the world, in respect of its creator, who probably went through darkness to put something magnificent out there.
Let us go through chala jaunga shayari in Urdu, English, and Hinglish.
Original Chala Jaunga Poetry (Gazal) by Hassan Abbasi
Teri mushkil na badaaunga chala jaaunga
Ashk aankhon mein chhupaaunga chala jaaunga
Jaise hi hosh mein aaunga chala jaaunga
main to awaaz lagaaunga chala jaaunga
Bas tumhen dekhne aaon ga chala jaon ga
Tm mere sang chalo ya na chalo
main to awaz lagaon ga chala jaon ga
Muddaton baad main aaya hoon purane ghar mein
Khud ko jee bhar ke rulaaunga chala jaaunga
Is Jazeera mein ziyaada nahin rahna ab to
aajkal naav banaoonga chala jaaunga
Main ne ye jang nai cheri apne liye
Takht pe tmko bithaon ga chala jaon ga
Mausam-e-gul ki tarah laut ke aaunga ha
Har taraf phool khilaaoonga chala jaaunga

I’ll Go Away (English Translation of Chala Jaunga Shayari)
Won’t create more trouble for you; I’ll go away.
Will hide these tears in my eyes; I’ll go away.
Let me lie for a moment at your doors,
And when I regain my consciousness, I’ll go away.
You come to take away my dreams or not,
I will call your name and go away.
Some memories I cherish like they are my children,
I’ll hold them close to my chest and go away.
I don’t want anything from these streets,
I will come to see you and go away.
You walk alongside me or not,
I will call your name and go away.
I’m visiting this old house after so long,
I’ll cry to my heart’s fill and go away.
I don’t want to live on this island for long,
One of these days, I will make a boat and go away.
I didn’t start this war for myself,
I’ll leave you the crown and go away.
Disclaimer: All rights to this masterpiece go to the legendary Hasan Abbasi, whom I consider one of the greatest. This is an effort to explain the meanings of his words to people who couldn’t read him because of a language barrier. I am forever impressed by this masterpiece; therefore, I feel like more people should get to know, in simple words, the depth of emotions the poet has expressed.
Concluding it with the thought, a sanam tujhse badi dur chala jaunga…
